Geophysical Data Analysis

We are developing a free open-source Python course to introduce advanced undergraduate students or early-stage (first two years) graduate students to analyzing geophysical data, such as seismic, electrical, gravity, and magnetic signals, to develop 1-2D Earth models. By the end of the course, students should have a fundamental grasp of traditional numerical optimization techniques, including gradient-based and Bayesian methods, as well as the use of machine-learning models. The students will also learn about modern computational and data science practices involving the use of software (git) and data version control (DVC). Stay tuned for the GitHub release.
